Ryker has been waiting ever since Christmas for his new bed. Ever since Bry finished Ethney's bed, Ryker has been anticipating his. As we approach his big 7 on saturday, we were in a rush so this is what became of the brilliant bed. Our plans have been shifted a bit because of timing. With all that has been going on with the upcoming move, Bryan will have to finish the bed in Ohio, however, Ryker loved what he saw today when he got home from school. Eventually there will be a foot board and maybe even a bench. We will have to seen. In the mean time, a head board works for me. A little peice of Utah goes with us. The set of skiis in the very middle are Grandpa Norman's old skiis! COOL EH! They even have his name on them.

Have you ever seen something so funny is your life? When I was little, my parents used to line all of us little kids up and we would laugh til we hurt. We would take turns being Mr. and Mrs. Chin-a-gins. So of course after Bry and I got married, i had to introduce him to Mrs. chin-a-gins. We laughed so hard we cried. This past Monday for family night we were in that kind of mood. Bryan got down on the ottoman and it happened. We were both laughing so hard we couldn't breathe. It was the first time we introduced the Chin-a-gins to the kids. We had a ball! I have to say, Ryker stole the show.

Monster Truck Show!

We had so much fun with Grandpa Norman! Over Presidents day weekend. Bryan couldn't make is due to entertaining company we had up from Vegas so I took Ryker and Grandpa to the show! It was so great! We even got to see a few roll-overs too!

Of course it was so loud we had to use the good old ear plugs. Well worth it for sure.

The kids could not, or i should say would not, wait until evening time for their Valentine's. They were so excited it was like Christmas to them for some odd reason. I told them all they were going to get was a peice of chocolate but they new better. Mom loves books!

Etheny is my most "Superlicious" girl so guess what she got! Yep, they complete the set.

Ryker has been asking for a Quad for over a year. Knowing that we were wanting to wait til his baptism, and having such a desire, we decided that we just couldn't wait another year so here it is! It has been such a joy. He carry's it with him everywhere and read out of it all day. It has been a huge lesson to me that i need to read more myself. What an example he is to all of us. He even reads to Ethney and questions her about what he read. Kinda funny! He got Bryan to read with him the other day too. You go Ryker! Don't be surprised he he asks you to read with him some time too. I love this kid!

Valentine LUNCH! Salmon anyone?

Yes our favorite! We have the best little seafood market right up the street. (Coast to Coast) on Gentile street. He always has the freshest, yummiest stuff. So i decided that instead of spending $100 on lunch for me and B, i would spend $10 and have more than we could eat and some left over! All you need is a cup of rice, wasabi and you got it..... SALMON! (in the raw) of course.

This was my fun center piece that i made to go with dinner. I got into a crafty mood and thought i would have fun with it. Ryker came home from school the other day and told me he found a "Free" tree in the street. That tree ended up being my inspiration for this piece. Fun huh!

Nothing better than a Heart shaped 2000 calorie dinner! YUM! Bry and i DO NOT go out on Valentine's. We are afraid of the crowds and tend to like to keep the chaos at a minimum! So we have started a tradition that we go out another night and stay with the kiddies on the actual evening of V day! It is actually kinda fun and we enjoy celbrating the holiday with those we love most! The kids loved it this year and we kept it simple! Instead of Crab and shrimp, we had Pizza and salad! Nice and easy for me since i had too much to do that day already! What a wonderful Holiday!

We have starting letting the kids pick dinner for their big night! i had the table all set and was ready to make noodles (her favorite it thought) when all of a sudden... HOW ABOUT SUSHI! She had a request and dad filled it for her! Less dishes for me too! i have been told never turn down a free meal and especially one i don't have to make! so off we went! OSAKA!

Yes, she is eating salmon, raw salmon! YUM! Just can not get enough!

We kept it simple this year. It gets hard trying to get everyone back up here two days after christmas! So here it is, the simple (purple) cake! SHe told me she wanted a purplishish cake!

For more than one reason this day was the best! Even though we all wanted to take a nap after waking at 5a.m. this was the perfect opportunity to set up the new bed! Poor little Ethney has been sleeping on a camping cot for over a month. We decided to take her old bed (the bed Bry proposed to me with) up to our family cabin. So for her birthday that is what she was gonna get! A new bed! Bry has been sneaking out to the shop and working like a slave. Of course he says i picked the most difficult bed to build and yes he only had a small protion of a picture to go off of but the result (as always) is unbelievable! He never ceases to amaze me! He is so talented! Ryker helped on a few occasions too, sanding and helping had dad the tools. I was able to help as well a little here and there but the painting was the most fun! Bry and i stayed up late one night and had a blast together. The final project is just what i invisioned!

So here we are... when Ethney fell asleep or shall i say crashed on christmas day, Me, Tami and My Mother in Law headed up to the room and gutted it! While Bry and Lane carried it in piece by piece! Not sure how we got everything to fit but it did!

It was so exciting! it took us well over an hour maybe close to two and then Bryan carfully carried Ethney up and laid her on her new bed. When she woke up she was so confused!

Not sure what to think! it took her a few minutes to wake up and then she was so excited! For the nex few nights she would say to me after i kissed her goodnite, "Mom, don't forget to ask dad that i love him and my bed" (Ask means tell around here)

The day was so nice! Every one cam e to us this year! We are so grateful! Sad that most of our fam was sick so they stayed in doors which allowed for Mom and Dad to come up for part of the day! It was nice to be able to stay home! Relax and enjoy!

Well Santa came and went early this year, Ryker said he heard him and that is why he decided that he needed to wake up Ethney and the rest of us at 5:19 a.m. Seriously, we did everything in our power to make them wait until about 8:00 to open the rest. We rode the new bikes inside(yes they wanted to go out side but is was still dark and very cold) Opened the pillow pets and tried to bribe them into watching a movie on them to kill time. That was a big NO! So we took baths, opened another present and then talked them into playing their new KIDS CATAN! It was fun but not long enough! Finally Grandpa and Grandma, GG and Tami and Lane showed up. Saved the day..... time to open more!

They say that 3 times a charm! We are always so fortunate for all that we have. This year we actually stayed here for thanksgiving. Normally we are down in the red rocks with friends and family crawling over the rocks but this year, thank goodness, we stuck around. I was ever so grateful for that. I have missed the traditional moments that we have.

Thanksgiving day at noon we went down to mom's, i forgot my camera thought so i may have to still a few from someone else. Then later that evening we hosted Bry's mom Chris and her husband. Also, Lane, Tami & Goliath! Oh how we miss Goliath. It was very pleasant. A little quiche and some veggies just to hit the spot after a huge meal at noon. It was fun, I always love having people over. Thanks to Angela i served a yummy Chocolate Pecan pie! MMMmmmm!!! We do not need to mention the banana cream soup?

A few thing i am grateful for!

We were lucky to have Becky and the Kids down as well this weekend. We missed Brynlin of course, but had fun anyhow! Grandma made sure that the kids had fun frosting the cookies and Grandpa made sure that they were clean doing it! (hee, hee)

Wish we saw more of them! We love having them around!

Every year the friday after thanksgiving the Mangum girls get together for an all day candy making day! From sun up til sun gone! Dear aunt Conie dips and the rest of up mix, whip and roll! it is quite a fun event and i am sure quite exhausting for Conie. However, we are quite grateful for the yummy treats that go home with us at the end of the day. They only last a few short weeks after until we gobble them up and look forward to next time. THANKS CONIE!

This was Ethney's first year having a hand in the good stuff! Conie is so sweet to let all that want a try get one! Ethney loved it! She dipped, spinkled and more.....

This was the first big snow of the year a few weeks back. I loved just sitting in the window and watching them as they together created in my eyes a masterpiece! Epcot (my favorite, i think) was amazing... they had 2 worlds, the fun zones with all the learning and such like land and sea and senses and feeling and hearing and all these amazing activies that you can learn and grow....very educational. Ryker even said that it was one of his favorite parks not for the rides though... for the amazing food and knowledge that you can walk away with. This is the New World Center, i always wondered what was in there, now i know.

Crash testing ride, pretty fun, walks you thru how they test new vehicles and the saftey part as well!

THE MAGIC KINGDOM!!!! DAY 1..........

After the long wait, we finally did it! On the 7th of Novemeber we loaded up the kids and headed to the sunny state of Florida and spent 8 days in the nice warm sun, no lines and uncrowded parks to enjoy a little family time. And of course become a kid again ourselves. We had so much fun!

Ethney was such a trooper! She went on everything she could, Splash mountain ended up one of the favorites, not sure if it was the big hill at the end or the whole getting drenched everytime we rode it, but it was worth it just to see how excited they got! Ryker loved it! He wanted to go over and over again on all the big stuff. I was shocked that my little monkeys were so big!

Ride number one, not too wet, but not so lucky the next time around. Not a dry spot on anynoe in our log!

Of course the castle! Ethney was so excited to see where Sleeping beauty lives (her favorite) All she wanted to do was meet her and sing to her "I know you" it made me cry to think of the true magic in all there is around us.

Oh yes, To be a kid again!

A MANSION in the SKY, AKA... Woods!

AS Most of you Know life as we know it comes to a schreeeeeeeeeeeeching Hault in August and September. Yes if anyone plans on seeing us you know that we are pretty much unavailable for a few weeks this time of year. It starts ealier every year, planning "The Hunt" this year back in June the plan for this beautiful house in the woods was being draw up. No this is not your regular average Cabin kit, this is a custom built one of a kind, 14 foot off the ground (cabin in the Sky) if you will, built for 2-3 Men able to house 50. So here it is, a house built for 2! Cozy isn't it. Bry and Randy headed out on Friday afternoon with a dirt bike, a banchie and 2 80lb. packs for hiking up to this state of the art 5 star hotel for the weekend. I had to remind Bry to not forget his sleeping bag and his underwear when he said, "I hope i have everything" (Yes, people he has forgotten his underwear before) This was intended to help make their hunting experience a little easier, but if you ask me, the weekends spent building it and hiking to it, the 2 mile, tree fallen, boulder climing, straight up hill hike with 80lbs on the back, does not seem to be easier to me. Actually seems a little nuts, yes, i said it nuts! BUt there you have it, Boys and Hunting, there is nothing gettin past this. Needless to say here i am in my warm house with my two fabulous children, we have been to the fair, rode a bull, seen "Despicable Me", "Eat, Pray, Love" and eatin yummy popcorn and candy, had warm home cooked meals and goodies, gone running early in the morning thru the wetlands and taken a few short bike ride with the kids, watched a few episodes of "LOST" in the comfort of my bed, while the MEN have been sitting in a tree stand eating Mountain Meals in bags and being rained on 14 feet in the air with wind and chill, while sleeping in a hammock with a sleeping bag that yes, I reminded him to take. Hmmm!!!!!!!!!!!! As much as we miss being with him this year for the Big OPENER, i am happy to say that i am not sitting in that tree stand with him this cold rainy night. Oh, yes, he offered for me to join him. I graciously declined this time, but i am sure that there will come a time that I too will hike that hill to see for myself this fabulous MANSION IN THE SKY! Good luck Boys all i ask is that you come home safe and yes, Do NOT forget the Meat! LOVE, LOVE

I am so glad that we joined Dad and Mom this last weekend for a quick trip to the cabin. It has been way too long. I am so excited for some long overdue trips to this beautiful place.

The three R's for sure. The kids had so much fun playing and relaxing. We even met some fun neighbors, the Stewarts, Little Jillian and the their dog Princess were a hit.

Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Bott for starting something so wonderful..... We love it here!

Good times with Grandma! Grandma is full of endless time and patience with her grandkids. We had so much fun playing and hanging out, of course helping grandpa too with yard work. It paid off, We just could not get enough game time in! We will be back!

Cabin Fever!

It has been a long time since i last spent a few days at our families cabin. Not because i have not wanted to be there, only because usually there are no weekends left on a very busy calendar. Last time I stayed at the cabin I was pregnant with Ethney. I have been thru Jackson just have not stopped at the cabin. I was reminded very quickly the reason that i love it there..... I am so glad that we went this past weekend with Mom and Dad and helped a little with a new little venture.

Of course we took the bike just in case there was a chance for a ride or two.... or fifteen.

And yes, of course, the reason behind it all. Dad had a few chores for us to do while we were there. Needless to say he did not stop, it was go go go the whole time. I did manage to peel him away for a few hours on saturday afternoon so we could make a quick visit to good old Jackson. Thanks Dad for taking a little time away from those rocks. We loved spending the day with you.

The kids loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa, since they were missing Dad, it was a good thing to keep our mind off the long week ahead. It is so beautiful up there in good ol' Star Valley.

MOTHERS DAY!

This is us, at Log Haven. This was a tradition for Bryan's family with his Grandmother, Sonya. The last time we were here Ryker was only 2 months old. I have the best Picture of him in this same spot Bry and I just smiling happily and him screaming his gutts out cause he wanted to eat. It is priceless. To top it off there is really no where to sit and nurse in private so as a newly learned nursing mom, i went into the bathroom and nursed him sitting on the toilet in the bathroom stall! Yes, i know, sanitary! Hey it worked! you do what you gotta do!
This brought back some memories of His Grandmother, how we miss her. She passed away shortly after we were married. I think that the Mother's day that we were there with her last was the year we were engaged. Wow! One more month and that will be 14 years! How time flies!
I Am so Grateful for my mother! I could not do it with out you. Thanks to my Mom's in Law as well, thanks for everything! You make my life a little easier to say the least!

I got so spoiled or i should say that i am so spoiled. Along with new earings and a necklace with my children's birthstones, Bryan and Ryker (a little help from me) have been working on a Green House for the back yard. I can not tell you how excited I am for this! i love to garden and this is the next level for sure! it is going to be so beautiful when it is done. We are getting closer. I have to share these pics only because Ryker everyday asks what is next. He walks around with his tool bag and wants to learn how to do everything. He had this cutest smile on his face like he knew what he was doing and was so smart. I wish you could see it in the picture. I love him for his growth and his love of learning. He makes me want to be better in all that i do.

WOMEN's CONFERENCE

How lucky was i when my dear friend Cara called and said that she had a extra ticket to Women's conference. (Thank you Mrs. Hickenlooper) It is exactally what i needed! What an amazing time and experience.

We were under the impression that we were staying in a large two bedroom room with a full kitchen, o.k., Not so much! The dorm room or prison cell was two tight single beds, flat sheet included and a toilet to share with three other rooms! After the upfront shock the whole experience was well worth it and truly we never even spent time in the room other that to shut our eyes.

We got up early on day one: 5:00! a.m. ( i have not been up that early for to long to remember) seriously who does that! But once again well worth it! Cara signed us up to sing in the Women's Choir so we had to be there by 6:30 and practice for the morning session at 9:00. I myself do not sing so well but is was amazing and i learned a lot. I love to sing! especially in the shower or in a room that only my children can hear me, sorry to my neighbors that might catch the occasional tune, but wow, talk about feeling the spirit! This room can hold 23,000 people, it was close to full on a couple of moments. They said that there was at least 15K women, maybe closer to 20K at this conference! Unreal! The Power of the RS~

The streets at BYU were packed and i am not joking when i say you better make use of those 30 minutes to get you to that next class because it was like sardines in those halls! What fun we had! hussling our gutts from one place to the next. It was beautiful and so peaceful! It was fun running into a few friendly faces too!

The Humanitarian projects were nuts! Talk about some service hours, what a great way to spend the first evening, followed by an amazing concert filled with amazingly talented people! Hilary Weeks, The Fabulous Five tap dancers, Mercy River, Alex Boye, Michael Mclean, and one more gentlemen i forget his name but what a powerful voice and quite a sacrife to be there. His wife gave birth to their son while he was there and he missed it! Tear Jerker! THANKS CARA FOR THINKING OF ME!

Here we are at the top, end of the day, we decided to take the kids up with Josh and Cullen and see what Ryker could do. He loved his board! Me, still a big chicken! That hill is too big for me! Hee, Hee!

Ethney loved it. She kept saying she wanted her own board. Bry took her down a few times and she just kept begging for more. I guess maybe next year we know what to get her too!

Ryker Turns SIX!

Already a month behind, i thought i would post a few pics from Ryker's Birthday. Nothing to fancy this year, just a little "Bite" of cake and ice cream with the family.

We decided that our children could celebrate the day with just the family on the even years and save the big parties for the odd years. The day is all for them so they get to pick how to celebrate it. This year Ryker chose to spent the day at Boondocks, it was fun. However it did rain most of the day so we had to rain check on the speed racing (outdoors) no worries we will be back.

My happy kid! I can not believe that time has gone so quickly, he makes me smile as well as all those around him. He was spoiled of course!

The board was his favorite! (thanks to Mado for always letting him borrow) we figured it was time for his own. We took him out the next day to try it out! We had a blast. it was so fun to see how brave he was on that big hill!

The beginning of day one! We have so much fun, hiking riding, running and screaming! This was the beginning of Cliff Hanger. Not so fun for me because I am afraid of Heights so I ended up hiking and running down 90% of the trail. I love Moab because it is such a beautiful place to be you do not notice the miles you are doing because there is so much to see. The kids love it too, it is a blast with the whole family and all our friends. This trail was roughly 10 Miles, well worth the view at the top! WOW!

This is Josh ans Cullen on the first Obstacle of LOCK JAW! Scarey for sure. Last year Josh just about flipped it here with his whole family in the jeep, not so fun. I lost it and was screaming enough for everyone.

There is a wild obstacle that i actually stayed in the jeep for. My friend Amy got me all excited about making my own skirts. As i looked over the few (too Many) that Ethney has in her closet (From my favorite place, JUST BE) and after all the aaprons that i have been making i decided that it is time to venture out and start making my own. Of course i will still be tempted to buy as well but man, there are some cute patterns out there. This one i kinda made up on my own, yes it is reversible. PAIN IN THE ROYAL BEHIND! Never again! It would have been easier to do a single layers one. I need a serger too~ Anyhoo, like the aaprons, i have to admit this is kinda fun, so i might have found a new thing to do here in the near future..... Skirt making. We had a little Girls night out on the 15th of February!

Well, not quite all girls! Jaxson was there too, which was fabulous! i am sure he would have loved to have been home hanging out with Grandpa! Who also, joined us for dinner, but he made his way with us to WX High for the production of 7 Brides for 7 Brothers! It was great!

My little miss loves to sing and Dance so i thought it would be fun to bring along the rest of the bunch to join us. She was dancing in the Isles and singing, i dare say that the time is not to far off when she will be the one up there singing with the best of them! I love her little voice and her strong ability to show emotion! (if you catch my drift)

6th row, perfect! After each set, My little miss would ask "is it over mommy" i would say "do you want it to be" "oh no" let the show go on! She sat for 2 1/2 hours and still wanted more. Puerto Rico -El Conquistador- Top 10!

This resort is amazing, i would love to take my family back there with me. Here is the entrance, just behind B is the over look to the Private Island, the three level resort and the pools, water park, shopping malls and marina!

This is looking out our balcony. This is actually the day we left, the only day that it rained. it is storming otherwise you would be able to see the island from our room too. You can only see the one pool in this photo, this is were we played many games of water volley ball, but there is actually three other pools and multiple hot tubs on the this level. You have to take a small tram down to the lower level where the Water park is and the Marina to take the fairy over to the Island for more fun, shopping, eating, swimming and relaxing. All i can say is WOW!

We met some fun friends along the way. The Iguana's were everywhere. Huge too! There was one who sat on the edge of the water parks lazy river, every time we passed it I wondered if it would jump in and get me!

Mr. Swigart, Bryan's Boss, the Owner of Spartan Chemical, he is such a sweet man. He was so adorable to have Valentine cookies brought in one night after dinner to give to everyone. He even made mention of honoring our valentines and letting them know we loved them. How sweet! The cookies were fabulous!

The good time crowd! (Missing Anthony and Elvia) these are a few of the amazing people that we spent our week with. We had do much fun with them, laughing, eating and playing! how grateful that i am to have associate with new friends. Darwin and Barb, Walter, Brandon (see you in Moab), US, Rosie and Mike! We spent the majority of our time with them, of course there was a total of about 35 people, but we seemed to attract one another on more that one occasion. We def. had a blast with everyone else as well! Thanks so much for the fabulous week! Hope to see you all again real soon! Glad everyone made it our of Atlanta with all the snow! It was fun having that extra day with ya'll!

The Spartan's Annual Top 10!!

Here i am with my number 1 - Spartan's #7 at the El Conquistador Resort 2010. Yes, he did it again, Bry made the Top 10 trip this year to Puerto Rico. It was such a blast! We met so many fabulous people that we had such a great time with. There was so much to do. Sun, Relax, sleeping in (a little) Spa, Fitness Center! No cooking, cleaning, whining!

Water Park for kids ( Big Kids ) The resort had it's own water park, Golf course, ISLAND! You could do any thing you wanted, diving, massaging, sleeping, playing, water/sand volleyball, we even went Kayaking one night! What an amazing place, It was so much fun! The weather was amazing! Beautiful!

This is what Bry looked like after our wipeout on one of the slides, apparently our heads knock a bit, he did not realize it until i was laughing so hard that his lens was missing. He could not figure out why it was all of a sudden a little brighter that before! (That is crazy Barb in the back ground getting the photo) we Love Crazy Barb!

Here we are getting ready for our Kayaking 101, as you can see we were paying close attention to the instructor! Poor Brandon stepped on a sea Urchin the day before and we were still wondering how he was gonna row, but he did! amazingly he did everything and more! You would have almost never know that his heal was full of 20 spines from the little black creature! I guess that hwat you get for swimming from one islad to another without shoes on! What a RA-TARD! Bryan's Boss is standing behind me in the yellow shorts (Bill and his wife Julie) they are fabulous people. Truly enjoyed their company and getting to know them.

The kayaking was into a bio-illuminecent? Bay. (Not sure if that is spelled correctly) anyhoo -what a blast, how amazing that was. This was my first time Kayaking, i had so much fun. It was a little creepy being pitch black thru the canal but well worth the trip. Once we were in the bay all the micro organisms glowed when they came in contact with anything. Absolutely Beautiful! Here's to Brandon and Walter, the only other 2 dare devils that went with us out of 12! The other bummed out! Missed out too!

A few years ago, for Christmas, We (B & I) and The Ita's ( Tracy & Maurie) decided that instead of gifts we would go to dinner with each other and spend some good old quality time. We chose Ruth's Chris Steak House as the go to spot but, last year they closed their doors on good old down town Salt Lake so we decided to try something new this year. It was o.k. but it was not Ruth's Chris. We still had a great time Chatting. However, not near long enough. Maurie and i have decided that we need Half a day so next year.... We are going shopping... with out the kids and with out the hubbies... just us Girls with a lot to say and No plan to be anywhere until dinner time.

Merry christmas, again. We have so much family that we get to celebrate for two weeks! The kids love it, they are spoiled. Everyone went over board again this year. This was awesom! You know you are getting old when you are more afrain to go down than you used to be. Of course i had to be brave so that Ethney would ride. Poor Bryan though, took a good jump and landed on his hip, it was black and blue for a week. What a great time.

We had our family party on Christmas night at Sonia's. It was fabulous. She served Salmon, asparagus, french onion bread cassarole (delicious) shrimp and more. It was so great! She is a great hostess! The kids had so much fun with one another and it was good to have us all together. It has been a while since that happened.

Our families old tradition is that Grandpa is Santa. I remember many time sitting on my grandpa Bott's lap and getting a stocking full of goodies christmas eve just before santa would come and leave me another one. As we got older it turned into an envelope with money, how we lokoed forward to this each year. It was fun to giggle as each of the cousins took their turn. My dad, now (Grandpa Bott), is continuing the tradition. However, he still has us sit too and usually the hubbies as well, this year he let them off the hook! The kids love it!

We are grateful for GG! She is close to us and we love spending time with her. The kids love her so much, they enjoy having her around with all her fun bear stories. She is so full of the spirit it is a joy to have her in our lives.

Ryker and his DS, yes this is what he wanted to most. We made him wait until almost ten to open it though, waiting for everyone to arrive. We finally broke down and the smile on his face was so worth it!

The most adorable puppet/house/store/you name it that comes stright from Santa's workshop! I have to admit that Mrs. Clause helped a bit herself! Anyone in the mood for a good story come on by, we love the company!

Inside this wrapper is the best gift ever! My little Ethney could not wait until i opened this! A PINK PUSH UP SUCKER! All she wanted was a blue one, and so the moment that she wrapped it for me she was trying to get me to open it. Then once it was opened all she could do was ask me to eat it! She was so excited, i have to admit it was one of my favorite moments of the morning, the look on her face when i finally opened it! That is what it is all about!

Caroling of the MANGUM'S

Last year Grammy decided that it would be fun caroling in our neighborhood on Christmas Eve. I have to admit it was fun. along with singing i get a pretty good run in, running door to door ringing the doorbells so that we actually have on lookers listening to our attempt to sing. We don't last too long, only about an hour or so and them back to G.G.'s for Santa and more singing. It is a time when we all get to slow down and actually get into the spirit or Christmas. This year was a repeat and i am sure that next year will be the same. For all you in our neighborhood that gets to join in the fun, we hope that your Christmas was as enjoyable as ours.

Ethney's fun class...Miss. Janay is wonderful with the kids. Ethney adores her. She loves going to music class and learning. soon she will be playing as well as Ryker.

This music school is the best i have found. Harmony Road! They teach solfege, sound training, finger movement, rythym and more. It is most fabulous and all that i know love it!

Ryker graduating from Harmony Road 3. He is doing well. He is the only 5 year old in his class. The rest of his class are six almost 7 years old. His teacher Ms. Slava, amazing, is shocked at how well Ryker does being so young. He is progressing so quickly, he loves it.

I am not sure but i think that this is the first time that we have been to Temple Square during the lights for 4 years. It was great, but finding parking, not fun, and Ryker! NOT FUN! Little to tired to really get into the spirit. He was a little more worried about riding in the stroller than looking around. It was a quick trip but i am so glad we went. I am always amazed at the spirit that dwells inside the VC near the Christis. I don't know what it is but i always cry when i enter the room. I can only imagine the feeling i will have when i sit at his feet. God lives!

Three cheers for DAD! So glad he was home so much around the holidays.

For family night one night in December, Mandi and Lindsay invited us to go see the Layton City lights and hit Krispy Creme afterward... always a fun little treat. Normally we do this a few times during the month. It was fun, cold, but fun!

The happy little family... the little man did not want to keep his gloves on, crazy, it was bitter cold.

Bry was out of town again, so we missed him dearly, he took a rain check and went to see the lights at temple square on another family night a few weeks later. Love you dad!

The kids loved watching the donuts, owne liked it so much he kept licking the window, for all you germ-a-phobes, makes you wonder how many other little ones lick that same window just hoping to get a free taste! What a fun night!

Ryker had the opportunity to meet, Brandon Mull, Author of the "Fablehaven" Series. He came to his school last month and did an assembly. It was only for the 2nd thru 6th graders but mrs. Piper, Ryker's teacher, knew that we had been reading Fablehaven and made a special request to let Ryker go to. We were the first to meet him and he signed a few books for Ryker and one for Ethney too. Ryker gave the one to Ethney for christmas this year. "PINGO" it is a cute story about and imaginary enemy, you would all love it! He is an amazin guy and a fabulous author, i love reading these books to Ryker, he has quite an imagination. Ryker loves to read and i am grateful to authors like Brandon who make reading exciting for kids! Three cheers for GOOD BOOKS!

Shandra was the winner. Seriously she is the woman! There in no way (at least i think no way) that i would have brought my 3 week old baby to the mountains. I am so glad that she did though. It was nice to have a buddy late one night when the guys decided not to come back until way past dark. We kept each other safe from the BEARS! By the way this is Adalee.

The Hunts! 2009

Our favorite time of the year, time with dad, cooler weather and time with each other.

This year the kids and i had to build our own firepit. It was great! If you can see the little rock in the middle just to the left, that was Ethney's contribution. There were a few smaller one's but you can not see those. Ryker was so proud, he had to keep reminding Bry that he built it. Nice work kidos!

The night hunt! Bry took Ryker out with him one night to look for some elk. They has tons of fun and Ryker was so facinated when he came back to tell me that he found Bear poop and Cat poop. O.k. so should we be camping here?

This i s Rykers new best friend. ( one of anyway) the other is Madolyns Dirt Bike. The only reason he quit riding is because the engine wouldn't start. Thanks to everyone who let my little dare devil use their equiptment.

First day of Kindergarten!

So we got it! The most coveted teacher at Heritage thus far. Mrs. Piper! We were so excited to find out that we were in the best class ever. Ryker has been loving school and is so excited everyday that he gets to go. Last sunday he asked if he got to go to school tomorrow and I said yes. He let out a big huge "YES" with and arm tug and he was off. O.k. so he is a little excited, but as a mom, i hope that stick long thru college. It is so fun to see him be so excited about so much. I have noticed though that he pretty much knows everything that they are teaching so we do a little extra home work at home with mom each day too. Anyway, he is loving every minute of it! i am so proud of my little man. I can not believe how fast he is growing.

A long time waiting... Staring Ethney on the come back tour.... Baby Blue(George Straight) This is the song that her Daddy sings her to sleep with at night, she is so used to it that when Dad is gone, mom has to step in, she will not go to bed at night with out at least one corus of the hit... She is so adorable... The song actually has a lot of meaning to me and Bry, there is history behind it.. it is a good story... some day i will tell you all about it... and someday He will be singing this at her wedding too.... Heres to you... and who ever hold my Baby Blue tonight....

We have been having way too much fun lately... i feel like i have not been home much and on the go constantly. I was talking with a friend the other day who just had her 3rd baby and realized that i have not update my blog for 2 months and that i still have those two months worth of pics on my camera! seriously, what is up? as i flipped thru the pics as i downloaded them, what good times we have been having and how happy some of those pictures make me. I am so grateful that we have ben able to spend so much time together with our family...I absolutely love my Husband and yes my kids are the cutest in the world...there are those days that i think holy mac and then comes the sunshine that is always there, thru the clouds....I wanted this... and i love it! How they grow so fast and change so quickly.

Each new day we are filled with going and doing and keeping busier than the day before, it is awfully nice to take time to litterally smell the roses and just sit down and sit still istead of always getting up and getting going. Over these last few months our life has consisted of the following... Finishing T-ball (season one, i am sure) G'G's Birthday! Our 13th anniversary( Still Happy and in Love), Ethney's first trip to the Dentist (no cavities, thank goodness) Ya MOM! , Swimming lessons, Chucky's cheeses, (take 4), Lagoon (thanks mom), Moab for the 4th(rockin fireworks) Visiting my life long friend in Ephraim, Keri Thomson(Blackham) and family, Jackman Family Reunion, Ryker learning to be a missionary, Ethney taking up Art class on my Yellow wall with red permanent marker, (are ya kidding me!), Girl's craft day, Park City with Bry(why do we not do this more often?), Pine View on the 24th(Thanks to the Baer Family again)(Sweet Boat), Kangaroo Zoo, Cherry Hills, Dinosour Park and Museum, and last but not least, THE FENCE! (What the!) So stay tuned for the pick, a little at a time. So what is on the agenda for tomorrow......?

It has been fun watching Ryker take action this year with his first t-ball experience. He is already hitting from a pitch but the city told us that this is where he had to start. Every Tues. and Thurs. evening (except for the 3 rain outs) this is what we have done. It has been so much fun. He loves it and looks forward to it every week. Last week was the end so he is kinda bummed but i informed him that there is no worries, we start soccer in the fall! Yes, that is Norm in the back ground. He was at almost all the game and coaching half the time, thanks Grandpa. Ryker had so much support from everyone. Grandpa & Grandma Bott, Grandma Carr, Aunt Sonia, Grandpa and Grandma Norman and of course US!

These ladies are a blast, what fun we have, eating, fighting over gifts and talkin.... 2 times a year we all get together thanks to the original 2 that started it, Betty and Linda... now there is sometimes up to 30 women. You have to be 18 or older to get to come and that includes th ladies that started it, the friend they have invited and their sisters, mom and daughters. It is quite an honor to be invited. Once you are invited the first time is is hard to be uninvited. I invited Mandi about 4 years ago and she has come ever since, this was Heathers first time, hope that she will come back!

I just realized that I did not get any pictures with Bev. This is sad because the whole reason we were down there was for her. She did an art show and it was fun! There was some neat stuff down there, some real talent. Sorry Bev, hope to catch you next time..... We are actually going again over the 4th of July so we will make sure to get you in the shot this time! Love you!
